After 11 consecutive years of running, the brilliant HHH is taking a break. Don't be alarmed - we haven't sold out! We remain an independent sportive, organised and run by a dedicated group, formed out of friendship and a passion for cycling. Other commitments have intruded this year, but the HHH will be back - we promise!
The HHH usually offers the challenging SUPERMAX route (approx 100 miles) and a shorter version, the still-testing MIDI (approx 80 miles). The well signed and equally well planned course seeks out roads with very light traffic, exploring some beautiful and varied Hampshire countryside passing over downs, woodland and picturesque villages.
As you'd expect from its name, there are plenty of hills in the HHH but it's not relentless - there are stretches where you can roll a bigger gear, and there are no "cliff face" climbs either - though you will need your lowest gears on some. The HHH certainly catches out those who underestimate it, with more total metres of ascent than most UK sportives. If you haven't ridden enough miles over the winter and spring, it will find you out!
We tradtionally start at Sparsholt College, near Winchester, Its excellent facilities include on-site parking close to the Start/Finish, cafe, showers and changing rooms.
