The route was wkd (apart from the Hell of the South over the last 3 miles or so!). The feed stops were ideally placed and the weather could not have been kinder. "Thanks for a great day - what a wonderful route - lovely countryside - and I saw very few cars all day. Good calibre riders - it made me raise my game a bit! The hills were fine and I particularly enjoyed the variety from switchback to longer haul as well as one or two of the very steep sections. It was no issue that some of the small roads were a bit gritty - I just took a bit more care - but it was the use of the smaller roads that made this an excellent ride with a variety of terrain and much less traffic.
