I really
enjoyed myself (though might not have said so at the time) and was particularly
chuffed to just break the 6 hour barrier and hence get Gold for my age
group. A good confidence booster for the Etape in July. The course was
great - very scenic, sufficiently challenging and well signposted (though the
signs are a tad small for my eyesight,,,) The other riders were great company
too. Will
definitely aim to do the ride again next year wife/family commitments
permitting! JL
I would like to say that your event was really well
organised, I very much enjoyed it and I will definitely do it again next year,
needless to say that I will be recommending it to my fellow cyclist who ride
with me back in Spain, you guys should see the mountains we are used to ride on!

A brilliant route - scenic, and hilly
without being 'stupid' about it. RM
Just wanted to say
an ENORMOUS thank you for organising such an excellent event. I was amazed
at how much fabulous countryside and how little nasty A-road action there was on
such a distance. The marshals were all very helpful and encouraging and
the vodka and orange (or was that energy drink?) provision was also great.
Many thanks once again - if I survive this year's etape and UK Ironman I will be
back for more in 2009! BTW, I think you should lobby for using this route for when
the Tour De France comes to the UK again - it was far far superior to the
frankly disappointing London to Canterbury route last year. And THAT was
supposed to be in the garden of England!!!

Was a nice day till the pothole!

Just reflecting on an absolutely
perfect day yesterday ! Yes it was tough , but I expected that . What I
didn’t expect was the level of organisation and friendliness around the whole
event. Can you please pass on my thanks to
the whole of your team who made this event a benchmark event for all of us
riders, their efforts were very much recognised and appreciated .

A well organised
and enjoyable event. MK
Just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to the
team behind the organisation.
My first ride over 85 miles for over 10 years,
and my first organised
sportive - couldn't have asked for more, especially
the food stations
which popped up just in the nick of time, and the almost
traffic-free
roads. I even enjoyed the uphill bits. Will be back
next year. DS
Just a quick note to say what a fantastic event it was
on Sunday. Sign-in was easy, the route was fantastic, feed stations were well
stocked (especially the jaffa cakes!) and the signposts were easy to follow.
This is my first sportif and definitely not my last after this experience.

Just a note to say how
much I enjoyed the day, excellent route, very well signed, good roads and great
registration area before and after. + a really good idea to have a mechanic hut
at the first checkpoint. A big thanks – see you in 2009.
JN
A very well organised
and enjoyable day, the flapjack was the best…ever!! Thanks to everyone who
organised and helped out…and cheers to all the lovely men who said hello as they
passed me!! HJ
Great event. I will
definitely be back next year and prepared to go faster !
EJ
To everyone involved in Sunday's HHH thank you so
much for making my day, it was brilliantly organised from start to finish and
the route was just stunning. I shall definitely reccommend your sportive to all
my friends for 2009. As it was my first sportive event I was thrilled to get a
gold ! SB
I did enjoy the sportive thanks. Very well signposted and the feedstops
were ideally placed. JT
Overall I thought it was very well run and organised event - and I hope to
be back next year. Perhaps the only suggestion to make would be to mention
(or remind?) folks what to do after the race. (especially for novices like me!)
SN [He doesn't mean 'race' (ed.)]
A great day out, it was really well organised and the route was fun.
ES
Thanks for organising the ride. I thoroughly enjoyed it
& hope to be back again next year. PB
Last weekend our village was taken over by a mass of cycles all
travelling well over the speed limit and no consideration for the
villagers. SK [This was Hannington, guys. Please return the church plate,
the livestock, and the village maidens immediately!
